Lee Seung-Hee

Lee Seung-Hee (b.1958) has an unusual approach to ceramics where he recreates famous examples of Joseon dynasty(1392-1910) porcelain in the form of low-relief ceramic tiles. His clever use of glaze, contrasting glossy, matt, smooth and crackled finished on one surface, imparts a visual depth to its pictorial composition.
